History FEDE - Une initiative citoyenne devenue un acteur national La création de l’association FEDE remonte à l’an 2000, dans un contexte marqué par les effets sociaux et économiques des programmes d’ajustement structurel. Face à la montée de la précarité, du chômage des jeunes et de la vulnérabilité accrue des femmes, six jeunes femmes ont décidé d’agir. Leur ambition était claire : soulager les personnes les plus vulnérables, notamment les femmes, les filles et les personnes en situation de handicap, tout en accompagnant les jeunes dans leur recherche d’emploi et d’autonomie. En 2002, conscientes que la question du genre était centrale dans une société fortement marquée par le patriarcat, elles ont fait évoluer l’organisation vers une ONG de défense et de promotion des droits des femmes. Ainsi est née l’ONG Femmes et Développement (FEDE).
